Harbo founded and was CEO of Cal Bionics Inc. which developed, manufactured, and obtained FDA approval for several medical devices. After growing the firm to 11 affiliated sites in the US, Europe, and Asia, he converted the firm to a technology and FDA approval licensor.
During a 37 year career with Chevron Corp., Harbo held a variety of increasingly responsible positions, including Vice President of Chevron Global Technology Services Company.
Harbo Jensen is a Director and Executive Committee member of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC. He was a member of the Board of Trustees for MIT and a member of several MIT Visiting Committees. He remains active in MIT alumni activities, having served as President of the MIT Club of Northern California in the early ‘80s and as President of the worldwide MIT Alumni Association 2007-08.
Harbo received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with Highest Honor from Northeastern University , his PhD in Organic Chemistry from MIT, and attended UC Berkeley Graduate School of Business.
